Google Launches AI Tools for Exam Preparation

Google has expanded its AI-powered study tools to aid students preparing for significant Indian competitive examinations, including the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The new features, integrated into Google Search and Gemini AI, offer students practice quizzes, visual explanations for complex concepts, and step-by-step assistance via Google Lens.

The tech giant is introducing these functionalities as part of a broader global education initiative that also supports preparation for international exams like the SAT, ACT, and GRE. Google aims to enhance the student learning experience by providing personalized study support and assistance with academic task management.

A dedicated "Student Hub" has also been introduced within Gemini, consolidating study-related tools. Users can create study notebooks, practice quizzes, and receive personalized lessons by analyzing uploaded academic materials. Future updates will see Gemini integrate graphs and images, and it can assist with deadline management with student permission.

Furthermore, Google is offering students outside the US, including those in India, a one-year free subscription to Google AI Plus. This offer, part of the "Back to School 2026" initiative, includes access to Gemini Omni and enhanced usage limits. Concurrently, Google is strengthening tools for educators within Google Classroom to improve teaching oversight and customization.
