Users of Google Pixel phones have reported difficulties in unlocking their devices following the installation of Google's September software update. The issue prevents access through PIN codes and pattern locks.
The problem has been most prominently reported by owners of the Pixel 10 Pro XL. Some Pixel 8a users have also submitted similar complaints. According to user feedback, the PIN entry fails after just one digit, and the pattern unlock resets after connecting only two points, rendering the devices inaccessible.
The only temporary solution identified by affected users involves performing a factory reset. However, this action erases all local data on the device, posing a risk of data loss for users who have not backed up their files.
Google has not yet publicly acknowledged the lock screen issue or released a patch to address the malfunction. Users are awaiting a resolution to regain full access to their devices.
