Google Play Store Adds AI Search and Private App Hosting
Google Play Store is enhancing its app discovery with expanded AI-powered search features, including the Ask Play chatbot, and introducing private hosting for user-created apps. New tools aim to improve user experience and developer options.

Google is further integrating artificial intelligence into its Google Play Store, introducing expanded AI-driven search and recommendation capabilities. The platform is also set to offer private hosting for applications developed using AI tools.
The Ask Play feature, initially a chatbot for app listings, is now evolving into a more comprehensive search tool. Users can pose questions about apps and games, with the AI generating recommendations that may include comparison charts. A similar capability is expected for the Gemini model shortly.
Additionally, Google is launching Game Finder, a new feature designed to recommend games. This tool analyzes extensive user data to create a "Gamer DNA" profile, matching users with others who share similar gaming habits based on insights from 1.2 billion Android gamers.
The Play Store will soon provide a private hosting option for AI-generated apps, allowing developers to share their creations securely.
