Google reduces price on fourth-generation Nest Learning Thermostat
Google has discounted its latest smart thermostat by $60, bringing the price down to $219.99 at major retailers.

Retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, and The Home Depot have dropped the price of Google’s fourth-generation Nest Learning Thermostat to $219.99. This $60 discount marks a return to the device's lowest price point of the year.
The fourth-generation model features automated climate control that adjusts temperatures based on occupancy and historical usage patterns to manage energy consumption. Updates to the hardware include an adaptive display that provides local weather and air quality data, as well as broader compatibility with HVAC systems, dehumidifiers, and ventilation equipment. Notably, the device is designed to function in most homes without requiring a C-wire connection.
As energy efficiency remains a primary driver for the smart home market, Google is positioning its latest thermostat as a tool for cost reduction. The move comes as manufacturers attempt to capture market share ahead of peak heating months, emphasizing ease of installation and interoperability through the Matter standard.
