Google has unveiled its Gemini 3.8 Flash AI model, marking the third release in its Gemini Flash series within a six-week timeframe. While advanced Gemini Pro models have not been released recently, Google is focusing on faster and more cost-effective Flash versions.

The Gemini 3.8 Flash model is available in two variations. The standard version is designed for versatile applications, including agent tasks and software development. A specialized "Cyber" version is optimized for identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities.

For developers, Google is offering API access to Gemini 3.8 Flash at a reduced introductory rate until the end of the year. Input tokens are priced at $0.75 per million, and output tokens at $3.75 per million. The regular pricing will be higher, but further model releases are anticipated before prices change.

Recent token price reductions by competing AI firms may be prompting Google to maintain competitive pricing to engage business clients.
