Google Selects 20 AI Startups for India Accelerator Program

Alphabet-owned Google has selected 20 homegrown startups for the 2026 cohort of its "Google for Startups Accelerator: India" program. The selected startups come from an applicant pool of 2,500.

These AI-first startups completed an in-person bootcamp at Google's Bengaluru campus. The tech giant stated it will work closely with the chosen companies to refine their products, optimize architecture, and prepare for scaled deployment. The program aims to support India's AI development and contribute to its digital economy.

Launched in April 2024, the accelerator aims to equip founders with Google's AI tools and mentorship. The previous 2025 cohort included companies such as Apptile, Knit, MyWonder, Phot.AI, and SparkyAI. The 2026 cohort features startups across various sectors including legal tech, healthtech, fintech, and industrial AI solutions.
