Google Unveils Experimental "CC" AI Agent for Families

Google Labs has introduced CC, a new experimental AI agent designed to serve as a shared resource for families. This initiative aims to extend the personalized context available within the Google ecosystem to multiple family members.

The CC agent is an evolution of a previous Google Labs experiment that led to the Gemini's Daily Brief feature. The new iteration is built to be a collaborative tool for up to six users within a household, utilizing data from Google accounts to provide tailored actions and suggestions.

CC operates with its own Google account, allowing individual family members to control their interaction and data sharing. It can access emails, such as school scheduling communications, only when explicitly shared by designated users. Content can also be directed to CC via email or Google Chat.

Furthermore, the agent can monitor a shared Google Drive folder, where family members can deposit invitations, documents, and other relevant information. As an experimental feature, CC is currently available to a limited group of users.
