New renderings of upcoming Googlebook laptops from Acer, Asus, and Lenovo have surfaced online. The images showcase a distinctive colorful "Glowbar" light strip adorning the lid of these devices, suggesting a new design element. While an official launch date remains unconfirmed, speculation points to a potential collective unveiling around September 21.
The Acer model, codenamed "Moonstone," features a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display and is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors. Emphasis appears to be placed on local AI performance, and the device supports the latest Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 standards.
Asus's version, identified by the codename Lapis, is constructed from a lightweight ceramic alloy and weighs under one kilogram. It also sports a 14-inch display and utilizes Intel's Core Ultra processors, incorporating the Glowbar lighting feature.
Lenovo's Googlebook 15, for which more detailed information has already been reported, weighs approximately 1.29 kg and includes a quad-speaker system. This model also features the Glowbar light strip, designed to indicate battery and charging status. It is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra processor and aims for up to 11 hours of battery life.
