Gothenburg-based ConScience scales quantum technology component manufacturing
ConScience, a spin-out from research at Chalmers University of Technology, has expanded its operations as a global supplier for quantum computing developers without external investment.
Operating from Gothenburg's Stena Center, ConScience has transitioned from a university-based research project into a commercial supplier of components for the quantum computing sector. The company serves clients across multiple continents, maintaining a business model built entirely on organic growth rather than venture capital.
The firm's proximity to the cleanroom facilities at Chalmers University of Technology remains a cornerstone of its operations. This geographic advantage has allowed the team to bridge the gap between academic research and commercial component production effectively.
COO Ellen Andreasson noted that while the Gothenburg technology cluster provides essential resources for development, the company faces distinct challenges in scaling its operations. As the quantum computing industry matures, ConScience continues to position itself as a key link in the international supply chain.
