GovSignals launches Navy-authorized pilot to centralize industry engagement
The software firm is piloting 'Project Roundtable,' a platform designed to consolidate scattered industry interactions into a single database for U.S. Navy program offices.

GovSignals has launched a prototype platform under the Department of the Navy's 'Project Roundtable' pilot, aimed at streamlining how the military interacts with commercial technology vendors. The initiative seeks to replace currently decentralized engagement methods, such as individual conferences and separate program office interactions, with a unified information repository.
The platform allows vendors to submit capability information through a public, non-credentialed portal, which is then mapped and shared with Navy acquisition executives. This process intends to ensure that relevant commercial hardware and software can be identified and evaluated for military use more efficiently.
"The Navy operates globally, in the most consequential environments," said GovSignals CEO Derek Hoyt, noting that the scale of current hardware and software needs requires a centralized hub for industry collaboration. The project is managed through a Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific Commercial Solutions Opening, an agile procurement process designed to speed the adoption of commercial software.
The pilot program aims to provide a continuous feedback loop between government stakeholders and private companies. By aggregating data on vendor capabilities and technological maturity, the Navy hopes to align its procurement needs more closely with industry development timelines.
