Grand Theft Auto VI Release Delayed to November 2026, Preorders Now Open
Rockstar Games has pushed back the release of Grand Theft Auto VI to November 2026. Preorders for the game's digital versions are now available.

Rockstar Games has announced a further delay for its highly anticipated title, Grand Theft Auto VI. The game is now scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, marking a full year's shift from its originally planned fall 2025 window. This follows an earlier postponement from an initial projected release.
In parallel with the revised release date, preorders for digital code-only versions of the game have opened for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The standard edition is priced at $79.99, with the Ultimate Edition available for $99.99.
The game will feature protagonists Lucia and Jason, navigating criminal activities in Vice City. The development cycle has been marked by significant gameplay leaks and accusations of union busting following the dismissal of over 30 employees.
Rockstar Games is preparing to offer an extended official look at the game on August 27, with a six-hour exclusive presentation planned on Netflix. Prior to this, glimpses of gameplay and details have surfaced through various unofficial channels.
