GraphiCore Develops Robotic Systems for Nuclear Reactors

GraphiCore is developing specialized robotic systems designed for nuclear reactor operations and maintenance. CEO Riccardo Chebac stated that the company's current focus is on graphite-moderated reactors, including gas graphite reactors and RBMKs.

The company aims to provide robotic solutions that enhance safety and efficiency within nuclear power facilities. These systems are engineered to operate in demanding environments where human intervention is challenging or impossible.

Looking ahead, GraphiCore intends to target next-generation nuclear reactor technologies, known as Generation IV reactors. This includes high-temperature gas reactors (HTGRs), molten salt reactors, and potentially fluoride high-temperature reactors.

GraphiCore's technology is positioned to support advancements and safety improvements in the nuclear energy sector.
