Online sources suggest a notable increase in graphics card prices, generating widespread discussion among consumers and trending on social media platforms. This trend points to potential shifts in the hardware market.

According to "Shi Bo He Ju," a Chinese publication, major graphics card brands will further restrict supply of the RTX 50 series starting in late July. The overall availability is expected to be significantly lower than in mid-July, with remaining stock likely to drive market circulation.

One manufacturer, Asus, has reportedly adjusted its factory production costs, leading to increased pricing for various graphics card models. Price hikes are noted across high-end, mid-range, and entry-level series, including RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070, RTX 5060 Ti, RTX 5060, and RTX 5050. AMD's RX 9060 XT and RX 7650 GRE models are also subject to price increases.

The primary driver behind these price adjustments and supply constraints is cited as the high cost of GDDR7 memory chips. Earlier reports also indicated that Nvidia has shipped the RTX 50 SUPER series GPUs to partners, but has since paused the launch, attributing the delay to GDDR7 memory expenses. Even the development of the RTX 5050 9GB model may have been halted or canceled due to these memory cost issues.
