Construction and engineering firm Gray has received national recognition, securing top 15 placements in 10 categories within Engineering News-Record's (ENR) latest contractor rankings.
Lexington, Ky. – Gray, a nationally recognized construction and engineering firm, has earned significant national recognition, achieving top 15 rankings across 10 categories in the latest Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top Contractors list. The rankings, released in late September, highlight the company's growth, particularly in advanced technology, data centers, food and beverage, and manufacturing sectors.
Gray demonstrated strong performance across several industrial segments. The firm ranked third in Food & Beverage, fourth in Electronic Assembly, and fifth in Auto Plants. Additionally, it secured sixth place for Steel and Non-Ferrous Plants, seventh for Industrial Process and Manufacturing, eighth for Semiconductors, and tenth for Distribution & Warehouses.
The company also climbed two spots to number 14 among the nation's top data center contractors, with $2.5 billion in revenue attributed to the sector. This rise reflects continued investment in the infrastructure powering AI, cloud computing, and other digital services. Gray combines decades of industrial construction experience with the data center market, offering comprehensive solutions including design, engineering, system integration, procurement, and self-perform capabilities.
Gray also improved its standing on ENR's overall Top 400 Contractors list, moving up to No. 30 from No. 36 last year. The company emphasized its integrated design-build approach, which provides clients with a seamless process from planning to completion, crucial for complex projects. ENR's rankings are based on revenue within each surveyed market segment.
