Great Wall Motor Begins Haval H6 Production at Tianjin Plant
Great Wall Motor (GWM) will commence production of its Haval H6 SUV model at its new Tianjin plant in late August. The facility features extensive automation and robotics.

Great Wall Motor (GWM) has announced that it will begin assembling the Haval H6 SUV model at its new Tianjin plant by the end of August. This new SUV model signifies GWM's focus on the mid-to-high-end urban SUV market.
The Tianjin plant is described by GWM as China's most advanced production facility in terms of automation. Over one hundred robots are employed across its four workshops: stamping, welding, painting, and assembly. The company has sourced equipment from multiple countries, including Sweden, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain.
The automaker states that the integration of robots enhances production precision and reduces the impact of human factors. Specifically, ABB robots used in the stamping and welding lines, along with German pressing machines, are intended to ensure the high quality of Haval H6 components and the structural precision of the vehicle's body.
The painting process utilizes 26 Yaskawa robots, which are reported to improve paint utilization efficiency and ensure surface finish. GWM claims that its extensive use of robotics and advanced production technologies guarantees the Haval H6 meets international quality standards.
