Great Wall Motor Deepens Cooperation with HELLA Group
Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor (GWM) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with German auto parts supplier HELLA Group. The agreement focuses on collaboration in body electronics and lighting systems.
Great Wall Motor (GWM) has formalized a deeper collaboration with German auto parts manufacturer HELLA Group through a strategic partnership agreement signed on July 2, 2012. This agreement expands upon existing ties between the two companies.
The partnership will concentrate on joint development and design of body electronic modules, body control modules, and lighting components. Regular technical exchanges are also planned. Huang Yong, GWM's Vice President, indicated that the collaboration aims to enhance product quality and competitiveness, aligning with future requirements and EU regulations.
HELLA Group is recognized as a major global supplier in the automotive industry, ranking among the top 50 globally. The company serves leading automotive manufacturers worldwide and maintains a significant presence in China with ten locations focused on production, R&D, and management.
GWM has previously utilized HELLA components in models such as the Wingle 3, Florid, C10, and C50C. Future plans include integrating remote keyless entry systems and headlight cleaning systems into GWM's passenger cars, pickups, and SUVs as part of this extended cooperation.
