Great Wall Motor Sales Down 14% in September

Great Wall Motor (GWM), a Chinese automotive manufacturer, announced its sales figures for September, revealing a significant year-over-year decline. In September, GWM delivered a total of 114,944 vehicles to customers, marking a 13.99% decrease compared to the same period last year.
The company also reported its international sales performance. GWM sold 60,019 vehicles overseas in September. Cumulatively from the start of the year through September, GWM's total sales reached 920,302 vehicles, a slight decrease of 0.33% year-to-date.
New energy vehicles (NEVs) represented a substantial portion of GWM's sales. In September, 41,982 NEVs were sold. From January to September, NEV sales totaled 261,967 units, indicating strong growth compared to the previous year.
Brand-specific data showed mixed performance across GWM's marques. The Haval brand saw a sales decrease of 18.76%, WEY brand experienced a 36.73% drop, and the Tank brand declined by 29.21%. In contrast, Great Wall's pickup truck sales increased by 16.43%, and sales for the Ora electric vehicle brand surged by 79.09%.
