Great Wall Motor to Open Tula Factory, Launch HAVAL F7 in Russia
Great Wall Motor is launching its new overseas vehicle manufacturing plant in Tula, Russia, alongside the global debut of its HAVAL F7 SUV model.

Great Wall Motor Company Limited (GWM) is set to officially open its new vehicle manufacturing plant in Tula, Russia, on June 5. This facility marks the company's largest overseas production base, encompassing stamping, welding, painting, and assembly processes.
Concurrently with the factory's inauguration, GWM will launch the HAVAL F7 SUV in Russia, designating it as the brand's first global vehicle. The opening is expected to draw attendance from over 200 domestic and international media outlets.
The Tula plant and the HAVAL F7 launch are framed as contributions to the "Belt and Road" Initiative and a strengthening of China-Russia economic ties, particularly in the year of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Russia is identified as a mature and strategically important market for GWM's global expansion. The HAVAL brand has already established a significant presence in Russia, with over 100,000 vehicles sold in the market by the end of 2018.
