Great Wall Motors Tianjin Plant Produces 3 Millionth Vehicle
Great Wall Motors celebrated the production of its 3 millionth vehicle at its Tianjin manufacturing base. The plant, operational since 2011, has generated significant economic output.
Great Wall Motors (GWM) has reached a production milestone at its Tianjin manufacturing base in China.
On December 20, the company announced that its 3 millionth vehicle rolled off the production line at the Tianjin facility. The Tianjin base, completed in August 2011, achieved this volume in approximately 8 years and 4 months.
The plant's cumulative industrial output value is reported at 320 billion yuan, with profits and taxes exceeding 56 billion yuan. GWM positions the facility as a model of high output and efficiency among domestic vehicle factories.
With a total investment of 12.67 billion yuan, the Tianjin plant is designed to produce six vehicle models, including the H6 and F7, along with core components. GWM highlights its focus on intelligent manufacturing and digitalization, aiming to combine rapid production capacity growth with cost-effective product delivery.
