Greenberg Traurig Adds Experienced Trial Lawyer William Dorsey

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added William Dorsey as a shareholder in its Denver and New York offices, further expanding its national Litigation Practice. Dorsey brings over two decades of experience representing financial institutions, private equity firms, and other sophisticated clients in commercial disputes.

Dorsey's practice focuses on financial services litigation, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and disputes related to mergers and acquisitions. He previously served as a founding partner of Blank Rome LLP's Chicago office and led its business litigation group. He has tried more than 75 cases to judgment.

Greenberg Traurig's Chief Executive Officer Brian L. Duffy highlighted Dorsey's value, particularly his courtroom experience and deep understanding of the financial services sector. "His ability to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation strengthens our platform and our commitment to serving clients facing high-stakes disputes," Duffy stated.

Dorsey himself noted that Greenberg Traurig's global platform and recognized financial and real estate capabilities made the move a natural fit. He emphasized the firm's ability to support clients wherever their litigation challenges arise.

Dorsey has extensive experience in significant cases, including representing a major national bank in a dispute involving $53 million in claims, and managing foreclosures of hotel and golf course properties for a national lender.
