Greenberg Traurig Adds Hannah Roscoe to London Energy Practice

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has strengthened its London office by appointing Hannah Roscoe as a shareholder in its Energy & Natural Resources Practice. Roscoe brings extensive experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, commercial arrangements, restructurings, financings, and project development within the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Roscoe's arrival follows the recent addition of Sofiya Bumagin, who joined from Sidley Austin. These hires are noted for bringing complementary transactional capabilities to the firm's London offerings. Roscoe's expertise is focused on energy M&A and project development, while Bumagin concentrates on infrastructure M&A and investments for private equity firms and other private capital providers.

Greenberg Traurig's Executive Chairman Richard A. Rosenbaum highlighted the firm's strategic focus on energy and infrastructure globally, partly driven by the growth of its London team. "Hannah's arrival is another example of our investment in leading talent in these important sectors," Rosenbaum stated. He added that Roscoe's track record in M&A, project development, and financing, combined with Bumagin's skills, enhances the firm's ability to support clients on complex energy and infrastructure matters across jurisdictions.

Roscoe's prior experience includes transactions related to battery storage, biomass plant restructurings, and green hydrogen projects. Recent mandates encompass significant financing for a synchronous condenser portfolio, the sale of an onshore wind farm, acquisitions of battery storage units, and restructuring of highway businesses. Fiona Adams, Executive Vice President and London Managing Shareholder, emphasized that Roscoe's broad expertise in energy transition, infrastructure development, M&A, and restructurings complements Bumagin's experience in private capital and infrastructure investments.
