Greenberg Traurig has strengthened its Milan office by launching a fully integrated tax platform, combining transactional tax advisory and tax litigation. The expansion includes the addition of a team led by Luca Marraffa, who joins as a shareholder. Marraffa is accompanied by Cristina Biscontri, Samuele Amato, and Aurora Jannacone Pazzi, all of whom previously worked at Di Tanno Associati.
This strategic move aligns the Milan office with Greenberg Traurig's broader European operations, aiming to provide clients in Italy with a multidisciplinary, cross-border, and fully integrated tax service consistent with the firm's international offerings. Giovanni Monte also joins from Chiomenti, bringing dedicated expertise in tax litigation to further support the integrated platform.
Luca Marraffa brings over 15 years of experience in domestic and international taxation, with a strong focus on transactional and cross-border matters. His background includes advising multinational groups and financial institutions on tax structuring, due diligence, and complex transactions, often coordinating multidisciplinary teams. He is recognized for integrating technical expertise with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
The firm's Milan office has experienced significant growth over the past 18 months, with additions in banking and finance, labor & employment, and corporate and private equity practices.
