Greenjoules Raises ₹62 Crore From Amazon, Singularity to Scale Green Energy Operations

Pune, India – Green energy startup Greenjoules has secured around ₹62 crore (approximately $6.5 million) in a Series B funding round. The investment was led by Amazon.com NV Investment Holdings, with participation from Singularity AMC’s Singularity Strategic Autonomy Fund.

According to regulatory filings, Amazon invested ₹45 crore, while Singularity contributed approximately ₹17 crore. Greenjoules has declined to comment on the total size of the funding round.

Founded in 2018, Greenjoules converts farm residues into renewable fuels designed to substitute crude oil in diesel engines and industrial equipment. The company is also developing green fuels for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), green hydrogen, and biomethane applications.

Prior to this round, the climatetech startup raised $4.5 million in 2021 from Blue Ashva Capital to establish commercial waste-to-energy plants and invest in research and development. Investor interest aligns with India's push to scale renewable fuel sources to meet its net-zero emissions target by 2070.
