Greenworks Launches Electric Riding Mower With Five Motors

Greenworks has unveiled its new MaximusZ electric riding mower, distinguishing itself with a configuration of five motors. The mower is engineered for efficient and versatile lawn maintenance.

The machine's powertrain incorporates two motors for propulsion, aiming to provide agility and performance. An additional three motors are dedicated to operating the triple-blade cutting system, which achieves a 54-inch (approximately 137 cm) cutting width in a single pass. This setup is designed for rapid and effective mowing of large turf areas.

The MaximusZ is reported to offer advanced maneuverability, including a smooth 360-degree turning capability, intended to make operation seamless even on challenging terrain or uneven lawns. The manufacturer has focused on balancing power with user convenience.

As part of Greenworks' commitment to developing electric outdoor power equipment, the MaximusZ represents an effort to provide robust alternatives to gasoline-powered machinery. However, the company acknowledges that certain compromises were made in the mower's design.
