Gröhn Transport relies on Kesla cranes for durability and comfort
Juuka-based Gröhn Transport Oy has relied on Kesla forest machines for decades, valuing their durability and operator comfort.

Gröhn Transport Oy, a timber transport company based in Juuka, has utilized Kesla's hydraulic cranes for decades to ensure operational reliability. The company has found the cranes to be durable and dependable, with superior working comfort becoming a key factor in their equipment choices.
"The cabins are spacious and offer good visibility," stated Joni Gröhn, a timber lorry driver operating a Kesla 2112T crane. Both of the company's lorries are equipped with Kesla cranes, and drivers rely on them year-round in demanding conditions across the North Karelia region.
Operator comfort is crucial for maintaining efficiency and accuracy in varying weather and temperatures. "We've managed well in all Finnish conditions. The cabin stays comfortably warm in winter, and the cooling system keeps the temperature in check during the summer," said fellow driver Samu Gröhn. Kesla's water circulation heating system effectively clears frost and mist from windows, ensuring a pleasant work environment without the need for bulky winter clothing.
The KESLA proC control systems on the cranes are customized to driver preferences. Samu Gröhn uses a four-lever system, while Joni Gröhn operates a two-lever electrical control. Both systems have significantly improved working ergonomics and reduced physical strain. Kari Gröhn, the company's entrepreneur with 45 years of industry experience, has used Kesla products since 1987 and found them superior to competing brands.
"From an entrepreneur's perspective, durability is essential to prevent lorries from standing idle due to maintenance or failures," Kari Gröhn noted. The company also values the ease of servicing Kesla cranes and the ability to perform maintenance and hose replacements independently, even in the forest.
