Huntsville, Ala. – BAILOR has been named the founding 'Mission Accelerator' sponsor for Veterans Against Suicide's record-breaking attempt, aiming to draw national attention to veteran suicide.

Huntsville, Ala. — BAILOR, a growth strategy firm based in Huntsville, has been named the founding "Mission Accelerator" sponsor for Veterans Against Suicide's Freedom Fighter mission. The endurance record attempt aims to bring national attention to the issue of veteran suicide.
The mission, set to depart July 24 from Ditto Landing in Huntsville, involves a three-person crew attempting to break the fastest publicly documented Great Loop completion record of 12 days, 18 hours, and 10 minutes. The former U.S. Coast Guard SAFE Boat Defender vessel, restored and outfitted for the task, will be used for the 6,000-mile journey.
BAILOR developed the mission's launch strategy and facilitated connections with community and business partners, enabling the ambitious idea to become a national awareness campaign in a compressed timeframe. Sonya Bailor, Founder & CEO of BAILOR, likened the mission's urgency to historical calls for difficult expeditions, highlighting human motivation for impactful causes. BAILOR stated that its expertise in turning ambitious goals into executable missions at speed aligned with the mission's needs.
David Skrzecz, founder of Veterans Against Suicide and mission leader, emphasized the daily statistic of 22 veterans dying by suicide in the U.S. He credited BAILOR with providing the strategy, connections, and urgency required to launch the campaign. Veterans Against Suicide is now urging other businesses and individuals to contribute to the cause, stating that every mile of the journey carries a message of support.
The Freedom Fighter mission seeks to spark conversations, encourage veterans to seek help, and remind communities that connection and support save lives. The journey will be trackable via live GPS, with daily updates and reports shared through social media. Opportunities for businesses and individuals to contribute include corporate sponsorships and individual donations.
