Grupo Chilero Acquires Tadin Herb and Tea Co.
Grupo Chilero, owner of La Fiesta and Chef Merito, has acquired Tadin Herb and Tea Co., the top-ranked Hispanic tea brand in the U.S.

Grupo Chilero, the parent company of La Fiesta and Chef Merito, announced its acquisition of Tadin Herb and Tea Co. on July 21, 2026. Tadin, recognized as the number one Hispanic tea brand in the United States, will now be part of the larger Grupo Chilero portfolio, strengthening the company's presence in the Hispanic food market.
Founded in 1982 in Los Angeles, Tadin has established itself by focusing on herbal traditions and botanical remedies. The brand has become a staple in many Hispanic households across the nation due to its commitment to these natural ingredients.
Margaret Crow, CEO of Grupo Chilero, stated that the acquisition aligns with the company's vision to lead the U.S. Hispanic food sector. "Bringing Tadin together with La Fiesta and Chef Merito helps us achieve our vision to be the leading Hispanic food company in the U.S., uniting three iconic, category-leading brands," Crow said. The move is expected to leverage Grupo Chilero's established direct-to-store distribution network to expand Tadin's reach.
Tadin will continue its operations from its SQF-certified facility in Vernon, California. The company stated that Tadin's products, personnel, and service will remain consistent, now supported by Grupo Chilero's national network. This integration is intended to increase the availability of Tadin products to more families nationwide.
