Mexico City โ July 23, 2026 โ Grupo Elektra announced its second quarter 2026 financial results, reporting consolidated revenue of Ps.47,761 million. This figure represents a decrease from the Ps.50,864 million reported in the same period of the previous year.
The company's operational costs increased, impacting profitability. Consolidated costs rose to Ps.23,422 million from Ps.22,680 million in the prior year. Expenses for sales, administration, and promotion totaled Ps.18,986 million, down from Ps.22,056 million in the second quarter of 2025. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) decreased to Ps.5,353 million from Ps.6,129 million a year ago.
Negative foreign exchange effects also affected the quarterly performance. A foreign exchange loss of Ps.182 million was recorded, contrasting with a profit of Ps.584 million in the prior year, attributed to the appreciation of the Mexican peso against the U.S. dollar. Other financial results showed a negative variation of Ps.582 million.
Net profit for the quarter was Ps.560 million, a significant drop from Ps.2,696 million in the same period of 2025. The consolidated gross loan portfolio grew to Ps.214,360 million as of June 30, 2026, up from Ps.201,647 million the previous year. Consolidated deposits stood at Ps.255,724 million, compared to Ps.248,988 million a year prior.
