GTA 6 forms dedicated NPC design team, boasts over 600,000 animations
Rockstar Games has established a new specialized team in Los Angeles to handle character design for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI. The game is reported to feature over 600,000 animations, a significant increase from previous titles.

Rockstar Games has formed a new dedicated team in Los Angeles focused on character design for the forthcoming Grand Theft Auto VI. This team, comprising screenwriters, directors, and producers, aims to enhance the realism of the game's non-player characters (NPCs).
The game reportedly contains over 600,000 unique animations. For comparison, Grand Theft Auto V featured approximately 55,000 animations, and Red Dead Redemption 2 included around 300,000. Each NPC is said to receive individual artistic design.
The pursuit of detail extends to the game's environments. Every room within the game is reportedly custom-designed, considering elements like character placement and table surfaces. Even photographs on walls are tailored to the room's inhabitants.
These detailed elements are integrated into random rooms throughout the game's urban setting, offering players ongoing discoveries during exploration.
