GTA 6 Gameplay Footage Leaked, Revealing New Mechanics
Videos circulating online have showcased new features for the anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, including an in-depth karma system and more realistic vehicle functionalities.

In October 2023, the website IT Home reported that an unknown hacker group named Cyberleek had released four clips of gameplay footage from Grand Theft Auto VI. The leaked material revealed several new game mechanics intended to deepen the player experience.
One of the most notable additions is an advanced karma system, reminiscent of Red Dead Redemption 2. Player actions deemed "bad," such as unprovoked attacks on NPCs, will result in a "karma decrease." This will be visually represented by a demonic symbol on the user interface and is expected to influence how other NPCs and factions perceive the player, potentially impacting the game's ending or achievements.
The game also features an upgraded vehicle storage system, allowing players to open car trunks and store various items. Furthermore, a fuel consumption system has been implemented for vehicles, requiring players to visit gas stations to refuel. The classic "six-star wanted level" from previous titles is also set to return, presenting a heightened challenge.
Other revealed features from the leaked footage include the ability to hide money at home, the return of a basketball mini-game similar to that in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, an enhanced in-game smartphone interface dubbed "iFruit," and more realistic physics for environmental destruction, such as a parking boom breaking upon impact.
Player actions have also been refined, with the ability to stealthily take down unaware enemies and carry interactive items like flashlights. Weapon pickup and loot drops from defeated enemies are more detailed. The game also introduces a new mechanism for reporting stolen vehicles and crimes.
