GTA 6 Leaks Alleged to Be Scams
Reports of a playable Grand Theft Auto VI leak are circulating online. Experts warn that downloadable files are likely scams and may contain malware.
Claims of a playable version of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) have resurfaced online, months after initial false "CyberLeek" download resources began spreading.
A widely shared TikTok video, asserting a full GTA 6 leak, has garnered hundreds of thousands of likes and shares. The video directs users to download a file named "Grand Theft Auto VI CYBERLEEK-build.v1.0.245.ISO," presented as the complete game. While the source claims a 130GB file size with numerous connections, these figures are unverified externally. Notably, the installer file within is listed as 0 bytes.
Multiple other purported GTA 6 leaks, ranging from 113GB to 145GB, were reported earlier this year. Security firms like Malwarebytes have identified these alleged leaks as containing malicious payloads. One analysis of a 113GB file found it to be nearly entirely blank data with only a small amount of code, which included malware designed to steal browser credentials.
Reports indicate that fake downloads emerged shortly after actual, limited gameplay clips were leaked. While some genuine "CyberLeek"-related data did surface, IT Home urges caution. Users are strongly advised to avoid any purported GTA 6 download files, as they are highly likely to be scams containing malware.
