Rockstar Games has disclosed further details about the gameplay of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI. New information covers aspects like travel, social media engagement, and fitness activities within the game's environment.
As the release date for Grand Theft Auto VI approaches, Rockstar Games is intensifying its promotional efforts, revealing new details about activities within the game world.
The game's map has been confirmed to be larger than any previous Rockstar title, boasting an area double the size of GTA V. The world is divided into six main regions: the Leonidas islands, Great Savannah, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Caliga Hall National Park, and Vice City. Reports indicate a dense and detailed world, featuring a significant number of interior locations.
New gameplay mechanics include the ability to use ride-sharing services for rapid travel and interaction with non-player characters. Players can also engage with an in-game social media platform, Snapmatic, which mirrors real-world applications like Instagram or TikTok.
The game also introduces features for tracking and hunting animals, with nearly 200 different species included. Furthermore, players can participate in various leisure activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, and gym workouts.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for digital release on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on November 19, 2026. A collector's edition will be available simultaneously, though it will not include the base game.
