GTA 6 to Launch November 19: What We Know

Rockstar Games has revealed Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on November 19, according to its latest trailer. The game will feature two playable protagonists, Lucia and her partner Jason, whose story unfolds in the fictional state of Leonida, Rockstar's version of Florida, with Vice City as its main city.

Development costs for the title are estimated to be over $1 billion, potentially making it the most expensive game ever made. Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. No release date has been announced for a PC version or a potential Nintendo Switch 2 release.

The game will retail for £69.99 in the UK and $79.99 in the US, with an Ultimate Edition priced at £89.99 and $99.99 respectively. Physical copies will include a digital download code rather than a disc. Rockstar has not confirmed if an online component will be available at launch.

The game's release was previously delayed twice, first from autumn 2025 and then from May 2026. Rockstar stated the additional time was needed to ensure the game meets expected polish standards. Players who pre-order will be able to pre-load the game on their consoles starting November 12.
