GTA 6 Won't Replicate All Florida Attractions, Rockstar Games Suggests

Rockstar Games has indicated that Grand Theft Auto 6 is unlikely to feature direct replicas of all Florida's famous theme parks and attractions in its Leonida state.

Rockstar Games has suggested that its upcoming title, Grand Theft Auto 6, will not necessarily recreate all of Florida's real-world landmarks, such as Disney World or SeaWorld, within the game's fictional state of Leonida.

In a recent interview with Game Informer, Rockstar revealed that while the game's world draws inspiration from Florida, not every iconic location will be a direct inclusion. "We might not bring those places into the game as-is," stated Paul Wright, a senior vice president at Rockstar. "But all of it is done to give the player the complete Florida experience."

The development team must make choices to balance narrative and game design, aiming to capture the essence of Florida's atmosphere rather than a one-to-one representation of every tourist spot. This means some well-known destinations may be omitted in favor of elements that better serve the game's objectives.

However, the game will include new features, such as an explorable zoo. Grand Theft Auto 6 will also feature over 170 animal species, including rare and legendary varieties for players to discover. The development team conducted extensive fieldwork in Florida to immerse themselves in the state's environment and culture.
