Guerbet launches updated version of medical imaging software

Guerbet, a global company specializing in contrast agents and solutions for medical imaging, has released Contrast&Care® 2.0, an updated version of its digital platform designed to manage contrast media injection processes in imaging centers. The software aims to enhance both the productivity of healthcare professionals and patient safety.

The new version, introduced at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Congress in Chicago in November 2018, introduces "smart connectivity" and a "smart reader" feature. This allows the software to connect with Guerbet's range of CT, Cath Lab, and MRI injectors. Users can now access and manage data through mobile devices as well as computers, features added in response to requests from radiology professionals.

Contrast&Care® 2.0 also benefits from cloud support for hosting healthcare data, intended to provide faster and more secure installation, updates, and maintenance. The original Contrast&Care® solution, launched in November 2017, serves as an integrated IT system that consolidates examination data, including contrast agent details, injection protocols, and patient information, interfacing with existing radiology information systems (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

The system automatically collects injector data post-examination, improving traceability and streamlining decision-making. Users can review patient injection histories and administered doses. This digital enhancement is part of Guerbet's strategy to innovate within medical imaging and improve healthcare workflows.
