Villepinte, France – Guerbet, a company specializing in contrast agents and solutions for medical imaging, announced its first-half 2022 sales figures, reaching €371.1 million. This represents a 2.2% increase compared to the same period in 2021, benefiting from a favorable foreign exchange effect of €12.8 million.

Geographically, Asia was a strong performer with a 7.7% sales increase (4.2% at constant exchange rates). The Americas region saw a 6.4% rise in sales (a 3.7% decrease at constant rates), but performance was impacted by labor-related production issues at its North Carolina facility, affecting Optiray® and Dotarem® supply. Sales in the EMEA region declined by 3.2% (-2.6% at constant exchange rates).

By activity, Diagnostic Imaging revenue grew 2.1% (down 1.3% at constant rates), while Interventional Imaging sales decreased by 1.6% at constant exchange rates. Guerbet confirmed its 2022 forecast amidst global economic uncertainty and inflationary pressures.
