Guerbet Reports Full-Year Results for 2022
Guerbet, a specialist in contrast agents and injection systems for medical imaging, announced its 2022 full-year financial results. The company reported slight revenue growth in local currency, but production challenges impacted performance.

French company Guerbet, focused on contrast agents and injection systems for medical imaging, has released its full-year 2022 financial results. The company reported a 2.9% increase in revenue at current exchange rates, but a 1.1% decrease in constant exchange rates (CER).
Production issues at Guerbet's Raleigh plant negatively affected worldwide sales. The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) stood at 13.8%, in line with guidance. However, a negative net income was recorded due to significant depreciation charges.
Strategic advancements were made in 2022, including the approval of its new product Elucirem™ by the US FDA and its ongoing evaluation by the EMA in Europe. Guerbet also strengthened its direct-to-market presence in China, which led to over 45% sales growth in local currency for its Optiray®, Xenetix®, and Dotarem® products.
The company continues its commitment to corporate social responsibility, with targets for reducing emissions and environmental initiatives such as water consumption reduction and material recycling. Guerbet received recognition for its CSR efforts, achieving a gold rating from the Gaïa assessment within the healthcare sector.
