Guerbet Secures Japanese Approval for AI Software, Expands European Indication
Pharmaceutical company Guerbet has announced advancements, including Japanese regulatory approval for its AI imaging software DUOnco™ Pancreas and a new European indication for Elucirem™.

Healthcare company Guerbet has reported a series of developments within its operations. The company announced that its AI-powered imaging software, DUOnco™ Pancreas, has received PMDA certification in Japan. Developed in partnership with Intrasense, the software is designed to assist in the interpretation of pancreatic areas on contrast-enhanced CT scans.
In parallel, Guerbet has gained European Commission approval for Elucirem™ (Gadopiclenol), a half-dose GBCA agent used in vascular embolization, for an expanded indication. This approval now includes pediatric patients from birth, significantly broadening the therapeutic applications of the agent.
The company has also released financial updates, including its Q1 2026 revenue figures and the full-year 2025 results. Guerbet provided adjusted financial targets for 2025, signaling a revision to prior projections.

Karim Boussebaa has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, and the board composition has seen several adjustments throughout 2026.
