Gunnar Optiks Launches Ojai Wearable for Post-Screen Eye Refreshment
Gunnar Optiks, a pioneer in computer eyewear, has introduced the Ojai Vision Recovery System. This wearable device combines air compression, heat, vibration, and Bluetooth audio to refresh eyes in 10 minutes after screen time.

Gunnar Optiks, a company known for its specialized eyewear for computer users, has launched the Ojai Vision Recovery System. The $99 wearable is designed to help individuals disconnect from their digital devices and provide their eyes with a restorative break after prolonged screen use.
The device integrates air compression massage, gentle heat (around 43°C or 109°F), vibration, and Bluetooth audio capabilities. It features a full blackout design to block ambient light and visual distractions, enabling a complete screen-off experience. Users can select from five different recovery modes to customize their session.
A pilot study conducted prior to the launch revealed that 94% of participants reported a high level of physical relaxation after a 10-minute session. Additionally, 89% felt their eyes were more relaxed, and average discomfort ratings related to eye strain decreased by 56%. Many participants incorporated the device into their daily routine, typically after work or before bed.
Joe Croft, co-founder and CEO of Gunnar Optiks, stated that Ojai represents a natural evolution of the company's mission to enhance performance during screen time. The company is now expanding its focus to emphasize the importance of recovery and unplugging from digital devices. The Ojai is foldable and rechargeable, making it a convenient tool for use at home or while traveling.
