Gusto Launches Business Compliance Service for Small Businesses
Gusto has made its new Business Compliance solution generally available, automating state and local registrations and filings for businesses hiring employees across state lines.

San Francisco – Gusto, a provider of HR and payroll services for small businesses, has announced the general availability of Gusto Business Compliance. This new solution automatically handles the registration, filing, and monitoring of state and local compliance obligations for companies expanding their workforce into new states.
The service aims to alleviate the growing burden of regulatory compliance for small businesses. Data indicates that half of small business owners feel they spend too much time and money on compliance, hindering growth, with tax filing being the most time-consuming task for many.
By integrating with its existing payroll and HR platform, Gusto can identify when a business hires an employee in a new state. This allows the company to proactively manage compliance requirements that business owners might otherwise overlook. The launch follows Gusto's recent acquisition of Mosey, a company focused on compliance automation.
"Small business owners shouldn't have to become compliance experts. We built Gusto Business Compliance to help handle the paperwork, registrations, and filings required by states and local agencies, so they don't have to," said Alex Kehayias, Head of Gusto Business Compliance. "That gives them peace of mind, so they can focus on growing their businesses."
