Gutjahr Systemtechnik Announces CEO Succession for Late 2026
Managing Director Ralph Johann will retire at the end of 2026 after 30 years. Emanuel Schreiber, who joined the management team in 2025, is set to take over as sole Managing Director.

Gutjahr Systemtechnik, a specialist in balcony and terrace drainage and construction systems, has confirmed a transition in its executive leadership. Ralph Johann, who has led the company since 1997, will step down at the end of 2026. His departure marks the end of an era as the last representative of the company’s founding generation leaves the firm.
Emanuel Schreiber, who joined the Gutjahr management team at the beginning of 2025, has been working alongside Johann to facilitate a smooth handover. Schreiber has deep ties to the company, having previously worked within the parent group, Ardex, where he managed Gutjahr’s market distribution in Austria and Southeast Europe for over a decade. His familiarity with the company’s product portfolio and corporate culture was a key factor in the board's selection.
Both executives have emphasized that the company's core strategic focus will remain unchanged. They aim to continue prioritizing practical system solutions for the trade and planning sectors. According to Schreiber, the company intends to build upon its established foundation rather than pursue radical changes, ensuring that the firm's focus on technical innovation and on-site utility remains consistent as the construction industry navigates increasing digitalization.
