Hagebau partners with ZKONG for electronic shelf label rollout
German retailer hagebau is deploying ZKONG electronic shelf label technology across its locations to manage over 50,000 stock keeping units.

German home improvement retailer hagebau has initiated a digitalization program by integrating ZKONG electronic shelf labels (ESLs) across its stores. The implementation covers more than 50,000 stock keeping units (SKUs), aiming to synchronize pricing and inventory data in real time.
This shift to digital labels reflects a broader trend in European retail where physical stores are increasingly adopting automation to reduce labor-intensive manual price updates. By centralizing label management, hagebau expects to improve pricing accuracy and operational efficiency across its hardware and construction retail network.
The adoption of ZKONG’s system allows store staff to update shelf displays instantly from a central management platform. This infrastructure supports the integration of omnichannel retail strategies, ensuring that digital and physical pricing remain consistent for the consumer.
