Hagerty raises 2026 profit outlook following membership and premium growth

Specialty insurance and automotive services provider Hagerty announced an increase to its 2026 profit outlook following sustained growth throughout the first nine months of the year. The company reported written premiums of $1.099 billion, representing an 18% year-over-year increase, while its membership base reached 1.9 million policyholders.

CEO McKeel Hagerty attributed the performance to the company's refined operational structure, specifically the transition to a new fronting arrangement with Markel that consolidated economic control. While this structural shift led to significant transitional costs affecting net income—which stood at $32 million—the company’s adjusted EBITDA climbed 43% to $257 million.

Looking ahead, Hagerty has adjusted its 2026 financial forecast, targeting a net income range of $48–$60 million. The company expects its adjusted EBITDA to land between $305–$315 million for the full fiscal year, signaling confidence in the continued scalability of its membership-based automotive ecosystem.
