Haisco's Ciprocopan Tablets Approved in China for PNH Treatment

Haisco Pharmaceutical Group announced on July 23, 2026, that its independently developed drug, Ciprocopan Succinate Tablets, has received marketing approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).

The approval allows the drug to be used for adult patients with Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) who have not previously received complement inhibitor treatment. PNH is a rare blood disorder characterized by the destruction of red blood cells, bone marrow failure, and an increased risk of blood clots.

Ciprocopan Succinate Tablets is described as the world's first once-daily oral inhibitor of complement factor B (FB). Haisco states it offers a new, convenient treatment option by targeting a key step in the complement pathway, thereby inhibiting complement system activation. This marks Haisco's fifth innovative drug to receive marketing approval.

The company indicated that this approval represents a significant step in its strategy to address unmet clinical needs in rare diseases. Haisco has a reported investment of over RMB 1 billion annually in R&D and maintains a pipeline of 27 first-class innovative drug programs.
