The new MBBR bio-media is intended for secondary treatment applications, including in aquaculture systems and municipal wastewater treatment plants. The product is said to contribute to faster filter maturation and stable biofilm development within filtration systems.
According to the manufacturer, the media is made from 100% virgin HDPE without fillers, ensuring a long lifespan. The company also highlights the product's durability and low maintenance requirements, which can reduce operational costs over time.
