Hansa Biopharma reports 90% graft survival rate in Idefirix study
New clinical data from Hansa Biopharma shows a 90% graft failure-free survival rate one year after treatment with Idefirix in highly sensitized kidney transplant patients.

Hansa Biopharma presented one-year follow-up data for its drug Idefirix during the ASN Kidney Week conference. The results indicate a 90% graft failure-free survival rate among patients who received the treatment prior to receiving a kidney transplant.
The study also reported 92% graft survival and 98% patient survival rates twelve months post-transplant. According to the company, the safety profile of the therapeutic remained consistent with observations from earlier clinical trials, with no new significant safety signals identified.
Idefirix is designed to address the challenges faced by highly sensitized patients, whose immune systems often reject donor organs due to the presence of donor-specific antibodies. By temporarily inactivating these antibodies, the drug aims to expand transplant accessibility for patients who might otherwise remain on long-term dialysis.
