Hansa Biopharma reports 90 percent graft survival rate in post-authorization kidney study
Hansa Biopharma’s post-authorization study for Idefirix indicates a 90 percent graft failure-free survival rate one year after transplantation.

Hansa Biopharma presented data from its European Post-Authorization Efficacy and Safety (PAES) study during the American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week, highlighting the clinical outcomes for patients treated with Idefirix (imlifidase). The study reported that 90 percent of patients remained graft failure-free 12 months following their kidney transplant.
Secondary endpoints from the trial tracked patient and graft survival, reaching 98 percent and 92 percent respectively. The data serves to monitor the long-term effectiveness of the drug, which is used to desensitize highly sensitized patients prior to kidney transplantation by cleaving IgG antibodies.
Regarding patient safety, the company reported that the findings are consistent with previous clinical trials. The presentation of these results in the High-Impact Clinical Trials session underscores the clinical focus on managing transplant outcomes for patients who have limited options due to pre-existing donor-specific antibodies.
