Biopharmaceutical companies Harbour BioMed and Sinopharm are establishing a strategic collaboration to advance research and development of novel biologic drugs.

Biopharmaceutical firms Harbour BioMed and Sinopharm have formed a strategic collaboration to establish the Sinopharm-Harbour BioMed Innovation Consortium. The partnership aims to accelerate the discovery and development of novel biologic drugs, with a focus on oncology and immune-mediated inflammatory diseases.
Harbour BioMed will contribute its proprietary Harbour Mice® fully human antibody technology platform and AI-enabled drug discovery capabilities. Sinopharm will provide expertise in clinical development, large-scale manufacturing, and commercialization.
The two companies will jointly fund research and development activities and share product rights based on agreed terms. Dr. Jingsong Wang, CEO of Harbour BioMed, stated that the collaboration is a significant step in the company's strategy for the Chinese market, leveraging Sinopharm's comprehensive industry chain capabilities.
Sinopharm highlighted that the consortium reinforces its strategic commitment to scientific and technological innovation, emphasizing Harbour BioMed's advanced antibody technology and AI capabilities. The partnership is expected to speed up the development and improve patient access to innovative medicines.
