Harding Mazzotti Launches AI Tool to Identify New York's Most Dangerous Intersections

Albany, N.Y. – The law firm Harding Mazzotti has introduced "Hardi," an artificial intelligence virtual assistant designed to help identify the most dangerous intersections across New York State. The tool aims to enhance road safety, particularly as students return to school. Hardi utilizes data from over 390,000 police-reported crashes filed with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles in 2023. The firm's analysis of this data indicates that an accident occurs on New York roads approximately every 82 seconds, leading to over 123,000 injuries and more than 1,100 deaths annually. Harding Mazzotti states that "Hardi" is the first tool of its kind developed by a law firm using AI and public accident information. The firm presents the tool as a public service to raise awareness and provide drivers with information on potential risks. The AI assistant analyzes crash data from across the state, including New York City, which accounts for the 10 most dangerous intersections. Regional breakdowns for areas such as Albany, Buffalo, and Rochester are also provided, intended to help reduce accidents and protect drivers and pedestrians.
