HARTING Expands Production Site in Biel, Switzerland

HARTING Technologiegruppe has inaugurated its expanded production facilities in Biel, Switzerland. The new, 4,180 square meter building is part of the company's international production network.

The company founded HARTING Elektronik Bauelemente AG in Biel in 1984, and it has since become an important part of HARTING's international manufacturing structure. With the new facilities, HARTING is investing in additional capacity and strengthening its long-term commitment to Biel and its employees.

Switzerland was chosen for the investment due to its industrial tradition, high innovative strength, and globally recognized quality and precision. The Biel region also offers excellent operating conditions and skilled labor.

The new building is designed as an energy-plus building. A photovoltaic system covers the electricity demand, and heating is based partly on a pellet boiler and the utilization of production waste heat. Thus, the building produces more energy than it consumes, supporting energy-efficient and resource-saving production.
